Karman welcomes prisoner exchange deal between government and Houthi militia
The Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman has supported the prisoner exchange deal between the internationally recognized government and the rebellious Houthi militia, saying it was an important achievement for the UN envoy Martin Griffith.
"But I'm afraid that the two parties have exaggerated about the number of detainees and forcibly disappeared with the other side in order to disrupt the exchange deal," Karman said on Twitter.
Karman called for the deal to include the release of hundreds of detainees and forcibly disappeared in UAE prisons in Yemen.
