Karman, on 8th anniversary of the February Revolution: "We will not be slaves of the coup d'état and no tools of external occupation
The Nobel Peace Prize winner, Tawakkol Karman, said that the February revolution was a victory for Yemen and that the people could avoid sectarian, regional, racial and tribal rivalries,
stressing that the Yemeni people, who had rebelled against attempts by the ousted Saleh to inherit power for his son, would not accept the priesthood's monarchy to rule them again with iron, fire and superstitions in the 21st century.
In a speech on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of the February Revolution 2011, Karman said: "We will face the Imamate Houthi coup and the Saudi-Emirati occupation together and at the same time with the same moral and national commitment.”
Talking to Saudi Arabia and UAE, Karman said, "You, the little occupiers, you dream that you are capable to occupy and swallow our country and humiliating our dear ancient Yemeni people.
Karman stressed that the Yemeni people who revolted against the internal despot, will not accept the Saudi-UAE trusteeship and occupation and will not accept its terrorist and separatist weapons and explosive belts in its cities, coasts, islands, airspace and territorial waters.
Karman said that even before the disastrous coup of September 21, 2014, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates supported the Houthi militias, dropped the state and handed over its capabilities and army to the militia in retaliation for the February 11th revolution in 2011.
Karman pointed out that the international and regional sponsorship that was said to sponsor the power transfer agreement and the transitional phase was the biggest lie that the Yemeni people heard and did not see in reality.
