Karman for Al Jazeera Net: The counter-revolution in Yemen is eroding
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman said the counter-revolution in Yemen is eroding, going on the path of defeat and failure and would fall as an emergency event that would soon vanish.
In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera Net, she added that she is no longer speaking or communicating with the legitimate government after she has become convinced that "there is no use for them [the government] and after they have finally agreed to be only tools to legitimize the Saudi and Emirati occupation. They lack for the courage and integrity to rebel against the guardianship of the two countries over their country."
Karman accused Yemeni President AbdRabbo Mansour Hadi and his government of being responsible for the suffering of the Yemeni people today by accepting to be only a humiliating means in the hand of the UAE-Saudi coalition, as she said.
With regard to the departure of many of the young people of the February 11 revolution and its leaders from Yemen now, Karman explained that the enforced exile and displacement of strugglers [February 11 revolutionaries] does not mean they were wrong but she said it is another chapter of their struggle and evidence that they are still on the right side of history.
