Karman participates in the Munich Security Conference 2019
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman headed today to the Federal Republic of Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference in its 55th edition.
The agenda of the conference this year is topped by the files of "the rise of the extreme populist movement in Europe", "the self-defense of the European Union" and "trans-Atlantic cooperation.”
The conference is also expected to discuss the future of EU security policies, issues related to Russia and Ukraine, the Middle East and China, as well as cyber wars and the effects of climate change.
The agenda of the conference is expected to be at the forefront of the issues of trade wars, the relationship between trade policies and security, and the effects of technological innovations on security.
