MONROVIA – The Nobel Women’s Initiative 2019 Conference would commence today at the Monrovia City Hall for the next three days.

Shirin Ebadi, Jody Williams, Tawakkol Karman, Rigoberta Manchu, and Laymah Gbowee, who are all Nobel Peace Laureates are all in the country for the conference.

Madam Laymah Gbowee, host of the conference, told reporters on Monday that the group assembles every two years across the global to celebrate young people.

According to Madam Gbowee, the group’s objective is to seek an end violence globally and create space for universal security in building human rights, justice and equality for people.

She said the Nobel Women’s Initiative 2019 Conference would be graced by President George Weah and other high-profile individuals.
