The Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkul Karman expressed confidence that the May 28 strike in Sudan would topple the Transitional Military Council.
"I trust that the May 28 strike will topple Hamidi and the military disgraceful council, which wants to usurp power and confiscate the dreams and aspirations of the Sudanese people for a modern civil state for which Sudanese youth sacrificed and ignited their great revolution," Karman said in her official account on Twitter.
Sudan Liberation and Change Forces accused the ruling transitional military junta on Monday of "becoming a political leadership rather than a transitional council," saying that they will carry out a comprehensive strike on Tuesday and Wednesday.
