The Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman credited the death of Yemeni militant Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al-Rubaie, secretary-general of the Union of Popular Forces party.
"I offer condolences to myself and all our people on the departure of the great national fighter Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al-Rabaie, Secretary-General of the Union of Popular Forces," said Tawakkol Karman on her official Facebook page.
Karman added: “I also thank members of his party and all his supporters, loved ones and his family, may Allah have mercy on him and accept him with the righteous.
Al-Rubaie, born in November 1930, died on Saturday after a long struggle with the disease.
