Karman salutes demonstrations in Socotra rejecting Saudi-UAE presence
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman commended demonstrations that came out today against the Saudi-Emirati presence in the Yemeni archipelago of Socotra on the Indian Ocean.
Karman said in her official account on "Twitter" that “video of protesters of the sons of Socotra shouting against Emirati-Saudi occupation, one Yemen, get out colonization.”
"We have already said that a handful of dust from the island of Socotra worth their [Saudi and Emirates] towers and their ancient kingdoms. Greet to Yemen from Socotra to Saada,” she said.
