Nobel laureate congratulates on Iraqi revolution’s “first accomplishment”
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning activist Tawakkol Karman has congratulated the Iraqi people on the resignation of Iraq’s PM Adel Abdul Mahdi, considering this step as the first accomplishment achieved by the great revolution.
In a statement shared on her official Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman has regarded the resignation of Mahdi as a step in the way of overthrowing the corrupt and failed political class in Iraq.
Karman said that hundreds of wounded and martyrs in Iraq have made great sacrifices “on the path of their great revolution” in order to topple the corrupt and failed political class.
In a related context, Mrs. Karman pointed out that the greatest revolution will also take place in Najd and Hijaz (Saudi Arabia), expressing her confidence that Iraq is leading the second Arab Spring wave with confidence and competence.
