The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman said that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates has used the Houthi coup to declare war on Yemen.

In a statement on Facebook, Tawakkol Karman wrote: “I will say in my speech tomorrow at the Mediterranean Dialogue Conference in Rome that Saudi Arabia and the UAE has used the Houthi coup as an excuse to declare war on Yemen, with the aim of destroying it and undermining its national entity.”

Mrs. Karman confirmed that the solution in Yemen begins by expelling Saudi Arabia and the UAE from Yemen and overthrowing their guardianship over it, emphasizing that she will call on the world to help Yemenis achieve this goal as a first step to restore and build the Yemeni state.
