Mother of Revolution joins music celebration commemorating 61st anniversary of "September 26 Revolution"
Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman took part today, Sunday, in a music celebration held in Istanbul to mark the 61st anniversary of the September 26 Revolution.
Under the theme "From Slavery to Citizenship," the event encapsulated the journey of a nation striving for freedom and empowerment.
During the commemorative event, a member of the Supreme Coordinating Body of the Peaceful Revolution Youth Council took the stage during the celebration to read a statement affirming that the national constants of republic, unity, and democracy are inseparable and neglecting any of them would be a betrayal of the glorious September Revolution and the sacrifices of its heroes.
In its praise of the September Revolution, the statement commended the steadfast vigilance displayed by the nation against the imamate project, occupation, and attempts at dismemberment. It emphasized that the resilience of the republic relies on the collective awareness of the perils posed by destructive agendas, urging the populace to distance themselves from such endeavors.
As part of the ceremony, a thought-provoking discussion session titled "Literature and Poetry of the September Revolution" took place, moderated by the Syrian poet and journalist, Yasser Al-Atrash. During the session, Al-Atrash skillfully facilitated a dialogue featuring the participation of journalist writer Jamal Anam and writer and researcher Zayed Jaber, delving into the profound influence of literature and poetry in capturing the essence of the September Revolution.
The ceremony mesmerized attendees with a diverse range of artistic and cultural performances, including symbolic singing acts that masterfully recreated the essence of the September Revolution. These creative presentations served as a powerful tribute, capturing the spirit and significance of the historic events in a truly captivating manner.
