Nobel peace laureate Tawakkol Karman participated in the "21st Century Thinking" conference hosted by the Independent University of the Caribbean in Barranquilla, northern Colombia, on Aug. 23-25. 

During the conference, Tawakkol Karman talked about ways to establish sustainable peace in conflict areas, as well as youth's role in ending dictatorships and fighting corruption.
