Tawakkol Karman, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist, expressed her strong objection to the decision by Egyptian authorities to deport Dr. Adel Al-Shuja’, a prominent figure within the General People's Congress Party, to the interim capital of Aden.

Karman firmly holds Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdul-Malik solely accountable for any potential risks or threats that Dr. Al-Shuja may encounter as a consequence of this action.

Tawakkol Karman alerted on her official Facebook page that the Egyptian authorities are poised to deport Dr. Adel Al-Shuja' to Aden based on a request from the Yemeni government.

"We all know the extent of the risks that Dr. Adel Al-Shuja' may be exposed to in Aden from the UAE and its militias," Karman emphasized, describing him as a "fearless opponent of the UAE's destructive policies in Yemen."

In a resolute manner, Karman reaffirmed her absolute support for Dr. Adel Al-Shuja’, emphasizing that the Yemeni Prime Minister bears full personal responsibility for any potential risks he may encounter. She expressed her deep concern for his well-being while standing in solidarity with him.

Last week, according to Yemeni human rights sources, Dr. Adel Al-Shuja' was reportedly arrested by Egyptian security forces who forcefully entered his residence in Cairo. He was subsequently taken to an undisclosed location, with his family being denied any communication with him.
