Tawakkol Karman praises Marib’s second book fair
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has praised the well-organized activities of the 2022 Second Book Fair in Marib, which concluded on Saturday.
In a statement on her official Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman pointed out to the conclusion of the Marib Book Fair and its remarkable success, paying a great tribute the organizers.
The second edition of this book exhibition was named after Yemen’s recently deceased poet and writer, Abdulaziz Al-Maqaleh, whose poetry book “Marib Speaks” was also used as a slogan for the fair.
The exhibition, which lasted 10 days, included many sections whose works in various sciences and knowledge amounted to about 35 thousand, with a total of one million books.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, intellectual and cultural events took place, with the aim of providing space for youth thinkers and creators to highlight their creativity and raise relevant discussions.
