Mrs. Karman to give lecture on Arab revolutions and women’s role at Alberta University of the Arts
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, is going to deliver a lecture on "The Arab Revolutions and the Role of Women" on Thursday at the Alberta University of the Arts in Canada.
Tawakkol Karman’s participation will contribute to documenting the narrative of the Arab revolutions, the role and value of women, the reality of the revolution, and what happened after the counter-revolutions were able to strongly disrupt the spirit of what happened.
The event is also aimed at documenting the pulse, blood, and values of those who were martyred and paid the heavy price for freedom and dignity by including the artistic, cultural and creative product and the great activity of the Arab Spring revolutions in the Western academic system.
