Human rights advocate and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has congratulated Donald Trump and the Republican Party on their victory in the 2024 US Presidential election, calling it a "great global democratic celebration".

In a statement on her official Facebook page, Karman said, "I congratulate Mr. Trump and the Republican Party on this significant victory in the presidency and both chambers of Congress, and congratulations to the American nation on this great global democratic celebration."
