The Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Tawakkol Karman, sent a message to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, expressing her confidence that the revolution against him will triumph.

Tawakkol Karman, a leading figure in the youth-led revolution and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, criticized the Chinese and Russian vetoes blocking an international resolution to sanction Bashar al-Assad’s regime for committing crimes and massacres against his people.

During a conference to support women, security, and peace in North Africa and the Middle East, held in Brussels, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman issued a call through Monte Carlo International Radio, urging Arab leaders to assume responsibility towards the Syrian people.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman stated that the rule of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will end just as the rule of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh did.
