Human rights advocate and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman strongly condemned deadly Houthi militia attacks on government military positions in Yemen's Marib and Hadramout governorates, which left dozens killed or injured.

In a statement, Karman extended her heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. She said the attacks form part of the Houthi militia's long-standing pattern of violations and crimes, describing them as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

Karman called for those responsible to be held accountable, stressing that the attacks underscore the urgency of restoring state institutions, ending the coup, and achieving a just and lasting peace in Yemen.
