Nobel laureate calls for equality at International Women's Day Summit

Today, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, attended in the virtual International Women's Day Summit held in the United States of America, with the participation of the 64th United States Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, and the 66th United States Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice.

In a keynote speech on this occasion, Tawakkol Karman encouraged both men and women to unite and work together in the call for equality, freedom, justice and democracy, and to fight against terrorism and hatred.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Karman addressed the world by saying: We women invite you all, men and women, to be united with us in our call for equality, freedom, justice and democracy.

She added that women are able to find solutions, provide initiatives, and stop tyrants from destroying our countries.
